About English Cinema Barcelona

Most cinema-listings sites tell you what's playing. What they don't tell you is what's playing in English. For English speakers in Barcelona who would rather watch a film in its original English than dubbed, finding an undubbed screening is a weekly chore. You check the cinema's website. You squint at the session codes. You Google what "OmU" means again. Sometimes you show up and the film is dubbed anyway.

English Cinema Barcelona is part of ExpatMondo, founded and built by Klaus Jensen. It is independent of the cinemas it lists and ad-free. If it's useful to you, the best thing you can do is tell one other person about it.

What matters is the spoken audio, not the subtitles. A film from anywhere belongs here if its original spoken language is English and the screening is in English. A French film shown with English subtitles is not included. An American film shown without dubbing is.

Cinema version labels can be confusing, and "original version" does not always mean English. Check the screening details on the cinema's booking page before buying your ticket.
