Phenomena is a cinema on Carrer de Sant Antoni Maria Claret in Barcelona, run by Nuevo Apsi. It shows new releases, but it says it does not live on them alone: repertory cinema from all eras is, in its words, part of its identity. That includes titles that are sometimes previously unreleased and films that are hard to see on a big screen, and some are shown again on request from its audience.
The programme is organised in cycles, which include genre strands such as horror weekends, as well as screenings on 35mm and 70mm film. Phenomena asks visitors not to bring electric scooters, bicycles or skateboards into the building.
